Currently, synthetic biology or "SynBio" comparatively is a new emerging discipline of science and technology. Its main aims are to redesign or engineer complex artificial biological/living systems to introduce new novel biological features via changing the genome (blueprint of life) and biological parts (building blocks) in living organisms. Synthetic biology is part of new disruptive technologies along with artificial intelligence(AI), robotics, and machine learning in the 21st century, also known as the "century of biology". Recently, several synonyms such as Biological Engineering, Redesigning of biological systems, Extreme Biotechnology, and Industrial biotechnology are being used for synthetic biology.

Significance of Synthetic Biology
Synthetic biology, a relatively new scientific discipline has been developed in the last two decades. However, a very pertinent question arises: Why is synthetic biology essential for our future? Currently, humans are facing many serious challenges on earth that can be overcome by biological technologies. From the very inception of life, the biological systems are associated and pervade in every aspect of human life. Biological systems have enormously helped in the development of complex biological machines by a marriage between eukaryotic cells and prokaryotic (cyanobacteria) systems during evolution
